About Miiamilla

The building that nowadays houses the Children’s Museum Miiamilla was built between 1936 and 1937, and was erected initially as the main building of the Kadriorg Children’s Park. During Soviet times the premises was used by a sports school.
Renovation of the building started in 2007. In 2009 the museum was opened here.

 

New permanent exhibition: “Children’s World Spaces”

The new permanent exhibition, opened at January 2024 is exploring the multifaceted world of the child and its growth. It also supports children’s mental health, gives them a better understanding of the world, develops social relationships and helps them acquire new knowledge. With these premises in mind, the new permanent exhibition presents the key cognitive environments in children’s lives, the worlds between which children’s lives pass – the inner world, the outer world and the world of imagination.
