We will be reopening at the end of 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>However, the museum\u2019s educational programs and excursions in the Old Town will continue, and you can even invite the museum to come and visit!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You can choose from a range of museum lessons for all school levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information, e-mail linnaelu@linnamuuseum.ee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>FOR SCHOOLS<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Orientation game in the Old Town: &#8220;Tallinn&#8217;s Little Puzzles&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Who guards the City Museum building, and in which house did the Devil himself hold his wedding reception?<br \/>\nThis is an addictive hidden-object game in Tallinn&#8217;s Old Town, where we explore key buildings and famous landmarks. We point out details that you might not notice while walking around on your own. The game starts at a pre-arranged location in the Old Town. There you can pick up an orientation map for the game, which you can use to navigate independently in the Old Town for up to an hour. After that we will meet up to go over the answers together.<\/p>\n<p>The total duration of the game and program is 90 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The game costs \u20ac5 per student. The minimum group size is 10.<br \/>\nAttention: The game can be booked from April to October.<\/p>\n<p>Maximum number of participants: 30.<\/p>\n<p>Target group: Grades 4 to 12<\/p>\n<p>Languages: Estonian &amp; Russian<\/p>\n<h4><strong>&#8220;A museum lesson in the Old Town: Tales and stories of old Tallinn&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Tallinn&#8217;s Old Town has lots of exciting places, interesting buildings and of course ghost stories that are waiting to be discovered!<\/p>\n<p>This themed tour for schoolchildren tells various legends of Tallinn.<br \/>\nWe will find out who threw a party at Rataskaevu 16 and what did Duke of Croy a.k.a. the Mummy of St Nicholas\u2019 Church look like.<\/p>\n<p>The starting point is Tallinn City Life Museum (Vene 17) or another agreed location. Duration: 60-90 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The price is \u20ac5 per student.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum group size is 10.<\/p>\n<p>Maximum number of participants: 25<\/p>\n<p>Target group: Grades 1 to 6. Can be adapted for older students, if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Languages: Estonian &amp; Russian<\/p>\n<h3>FOR ADULTS<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Excursion in the Old Town: &#8220;On the trail of Viant the merchant&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>What do we know about the people who lived in and ruled Tallinn in the Middle Ages?<br \/>\n500 years ago, the great merchant and burgomaster Hans Viant lived in the merchant\u2019s house that now bears the address Vene 17.\u00a0A tour of Tallinn City Life Museum offers excursions that focus on the former owner of the building, as well as exciting facts about day-to-day life in the Middle Ages.<br \/>\nThe tour starts in front of Viant\u2019s house, then continues through the Old Town, where we stroll along historic streets and visit the most important buildings in Viant\u2019s life. We end with a workshop in which everyone can design their own secret wealth talisman like Viant\u2019s own!<br \/>\nThe excursion lasts for 90 mins.<br \/>\nGroup size is 10-25 people.<br \/>\nThe price is \u20ac12 per participant, with no guide fee.<br \/>\nTours can be booked in Estonian, Russian or English.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>\u201cNaughty Tallinn\u201d: A \u2018sexcursion\u2019 to the Old Town<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The sexual behaviour of Tallinn residents and prostitution in the city is examined from the 15th century through to the Second World War. We look at the intimate lives of the people of Tallinn through the ages, their desires and the taboos that accompanied them. We learn about the spices that went into love potions and some other naughty things.<br \/>\nThe excursion includes a workshop with hands-on activities.<br \/>\nThe excursion lasts for 90 mins.<br \/>\nThe group size is between 10 and 30 people.<br \/>\nThe price is \u20ac15 per participant, with no guide fee.<br \/>\nTours can be booked in Estonian, Russian or English.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>&#8220;Naughty Tallinn takes on Mardi Street&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This tour focuses on the history of prostitution in the 19th and early 20th centuries,<br \/>\nwhen Mardi Street and the Keldrim\u00e4e district as a whole became a new hotspot for debauchery.
