It exhibits a unique collection of genuine objects that surrounded Peter\u00a0I and Catherine\u00a0I of Russia during their day-to-day life in Estonia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Peter\u2019s house or the &#8220;old palace&#8221; originates from the time before the present Kadriorg Palace was built.<br \/>\nPeter the Great and his wife Catherine stayed here on their visits to Tallinn.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-95779 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Z3I6352-X4-400x267.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Z3I6352-X4-400x267.jpg 400w, https:\/\/linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Z3I6352-X4-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Z3I6352-X4.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tsar Peter I of Russia acquired the 17th-century building in 1714 and used it as his residence during his visits to Tallinn. He particularly liked the view of the sea and the harbour from Lasnam\u00e4gi Hill behind the manor. Peter I had also acquired the lands surrounding the manor by 1718 and started building Kadriorg Palace and the<\/p>\n<p>park ensemble. The tsar\u2019s first place of residence in the park became known as the &#8220;old palace&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The museum\u2019s exposition is comprised of a living room, dining room, a bedroom, a converted attic, and a cellar.<\/p>\n<p>The museum&#8217;s exhibition contains unique items that surrounded Peter I and Catherine I during their stay in the house. The museum also has a unique collection of paintings.<\/p>\n<p>Tours, museum classes, and lectures take place in the museum.
