COMBINED TICKET
City Life Museum and Kiek in de Kök
The Brotherhood of Blackheads in two museums

With the combined ticket you’ll get a unique insight into the legendary history of Tallinn’s Brotherhood of Black Heads! The ticket provides full access to the exhibitions in both museums.

At the two major exhibitions of the Tallinn City Museum, you can experience the rich layers of history of the city’s former “business angels”!

Victory or Death!” – this powerful motto reflects the Brotherhood of Black Heads’ crucial role in defending Tallinn and safeguarding its existence as a European trading city. The exhibition in the Kiek in de Kök artillery tower introduces the brotherhood’s activities both on the battlefield and in organizing the city’s firefighting efforts. Tallinn stands out in Estonian history as the only city that has never been conquered or destroyed by enemy forces.

In the medieval building of the Tallinn City Life Museum, the exhibition “The Wealthy and Handsome. The Brotherhood of Blackheads in Tallinn” showcases the brotherhood’s festivities and traces the journey of its members into becoming established members of Tallinn society. Visitors can also explore the brotherhood’s role in the development of the city’s economic and social life.

The ticket is valid for 1 month from the first visit.

Tickets are sold at the Tallinn City Life Museum and the Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum, and from the new year also at Piletilevi.
