Celebrate Estonian Independence Day at Tallinn City Museum!

Join us on February 24 at the Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum for a special family day with tours, games, and exhibitions featuring the Three Lions from the Estonian coat of arms.

The celebration runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

After the flag-raising ceremony, warm yourself by the fire inside the museum with tea and pie. Before the parade, enjoy a tour, play a history game, and explore the exhibits!

Program highlights:

  • Exhibition: “Urban Animal: A Cow, a Bug, and a Dragon in the History of Tallinn”

  • Puzzle & search game: “Lions in the Tower” (Loquiz environment)

  • Guided tours of the cannon tower: 11:00 & 13:30 (in Estonian, approx. 45 min)

Tickets:

  • Adults: €5

  • Under 18: Free

Important information:

  • Only the Kiek in de Kök cannon tower will be open. Other towers, wall passages, and bastion passages are closed.

  • All other Tallinn City Museum branches, including Tallinn City Life Museum, Museum of Photography, Children’s Museum Miiamilla, Tallinn Russian Museum, Kalamaja Museum, and Peter I House will be closed on February 24. They reopen on Saturday, February 25.
