Come and celebrate Independence Day on february 24th in Kiek in de Kök fortifications museum
Come and celebrate Republic of Estonias Independence Day with Tallinn City Museum! Meet the Three Lions, go to tours and participate in workshops. The family day will begin at 8.00 in the morning and last until 15.00. It will all take place in Kiek in de Kök fortifications museum.
The Maiden Tower cafe at the same time will offer a special menu in the honor of independence day.
English language tour will begin at 13.00. Participation in the tour is with the museum ticket.

At 8.00 – 15.00
The checkouts in Kiek in de Kök and Maiden Tower are open. Special menu in the Maiden Tower café: “Patriots mash, generals sandwitch and kissell.
At 9.00 – 15.00
Café is open at the top floor in Kiek in de Kök tower. Workshops and games for the whole family: face paintings, making of flags, answer to pop quiz questions and get lion stamps on your question sheet.
At 10.00 – 12.00
At Kiek in de Kök’s weapons room, historian Ando Pajus, will introduce weapons that were made in Tallinn Arsenal factory. Modern weapons will be introduced by Tõnis Orumaa (in estonian, english and russian language).
At 11.00 – 15.00
Open-air café is open in the Comandant’s Garden. For those, who come from the parade, will be served pea soup and a pie.
At 12.00 – 15.00
Shooting practice with a simulator on the weapons floor in Kiek in de Kök.
At 13.00 – 15.00
In the Bastion passages shooting practice with an air rifle. Instructors are from Tondi shooting range.
