Russian printed word in Tallinn from 1800 to 1940
A new exhibition “Russian printed word in Tallinn from the 19 century to the year 1940″ is now opened at The People’s Museum of Tallinn at Pikk 29a in the Old Town.
The exhibition shows how political and social processes affected publishing of Russian books in Estonia. The exhibition also studies the developments in Russian printed word in general as well as reforms of Russian written language in 1708 and 1918.
A major part of the exhibition is based on the private collection of Mr Alexandr Borissov.
