Kiek in de Kök and Olde Hansa Christmas experience tour for groups “Animals of medieval feasts”

This December Kiek in de Kök Fortification Museum and Olde Hansa restaurant invite all to spend a good time in the historical Old Town. First, we will visit the museums newly opened exhibition “Urban animal. Cow, bedbug and dragon”. We will learn what animals lived inside the old town, what animals were eaten in medieval time feasts. Why was there a gilded peacock on the table? Which dishes were on the rich man’s and which on the poor man’s table? At the exhibition, you can cross a medieval street, drive pigs to the garden, pet a whale and let out your inner elephant.

After the exhibition it is time for a feast! We will go to the famous Old Town restaurant Olde Hansa. Olde Hansa offers appetizers with horseradish sour cream, baked herb-juniper cheese, sauce cucumbers from the Count of Livonia, saffron pickles from London merchants, nut-barley steak next to the main dishes, stewed smoked sauerkraut, lentil stew of the Crusaders, ginger radishes. And for dessert Chef Rickard`s crushed pancake with saffron pudding are served.

The price for groups is 38€ full ticket per person and 35€ discount ticket per person.

Group size 5-30 people.

The special offer is available from the opening of the exhibition on November 26, 2020.
