Most of the items are in the archive collection that comprises the first editions, books, magazines and journals that belonged to Vilde as well as postcards, letters and documents.

The photo collection is made up of nearly 740 photos: several portraits and photos of the places (the Manor-house of Muuga, Mahtra, Karjaküla, Kadriorg) and the people (Linda Vilde, Rahel Ushmarova, Johannes Vares-Barbarus and others) connected with the writer.

The art collection contains portraits of Vilde and paintings that belonged to him.

The historical collection contains several personal belongings. The furnishings of his flat have survived almost in toto.
