Tallinn City Life Museum
Permanent exhibition in the
MEDIEVAL MERCHANT`S HOUSE

The exhibition tells the history of the city from the old y times to the 20th century.
The exhibition introduces the port and commercial life, the living conditions of merchants and craftsmen. The dark side of history is presented by the sword of the Tallinn executioner and the torture instruments of the town prison.

Tallinn of the 19th century is represented by a model of the old town based on old drawings and a collection of city views.

The largest collection of 19th-century city views of Tallinn helps to imagine how the city looked like before the construction of railways and the wave of urbanization that accompanied it.
